4. I know/ that rain is essential/ for our lives,/
雨は、私達の生活にとって、必要不可欠である事は、分かっている
  ( essential → 必要不可欠な  for → ~にとって)

but we never want/ to have torrential rain/ like the one/
   でも、3年前に、朝倉地方で起こったような、豪雨はお断りだね。
  ( torrential → 激流のような、激しい torrential rain → 豪雨、
   the one → oneは、前に出てきた名詞(torrential rain)の代用語としての代名詞)

that happened in the 朝倉 region/ 3 years ago.
   ( region → 地域)

5. Personally speaking,/ I don't like rainy season.
    個人的に言わせてもらえば、梅雨は好きじゃない
( personally → 個人的に)

But/ if it rained only in the night,/ i would love rain.
    しかし、もし、夜にだけ降るのであれば、雨もいいね。

   ( if it rained....I would..仮定法過去 → あり得ないことを仮定する時に、

2. Until yesterday,/ we had hot days like mid summer.
   昨日まで、真夏のような暑さだった

3. The rainy season front/ is expected to stay/ in the western part of
    梅雨前線は、今夜から明日にかけて、西日本地区に停滞しそうである

    予測されている)

Japan from tonight to tomorrow.

 
So,/ it's required to pay attention/ to the landslide/
    よって、土砂崩れ、河川の氾濫に注意する必要がある。

   通常通り開放を続けた自治体もあった。
