4. I know/ that rain is essential/ for our lives,/
雨は、私達の生活にとって、必要不可欠である事は、分かっている
　　（ essential → 必要不可欠な　　for → ～にとって）

but we never want/ to have torrential rain/ like the one/
　　　でも、3年前に、朝倉地方で起こったような、豪雨はお断りだね。
　　（ torrential → 激流のような、激しい　torrential rain → 豪雨、
　　　the one →　oneは、前に出てきた名詞（torrential rain)の代用語としての代名詞）

that happened in the 朝倉　region/ 3 years ago.
　　　（ region → 地域）

5. Personally speaking,/ I don't like rainy season.
　　　　個人的に言わせてもらえば、梅雨は好きじゃない
( personally → 個人的に）

But/ if it rained only in the night,/ i would love rain.
　　　　しかし、もし、夜にだけ降るのであれば、雨もいいね。

　　　（　if it rained....I would..仮定法過去　→　あり得ないことを仮定する時に、
　　　　動詞を過去形にして表す。→　夜だけ雨が降るなんてあり得ない。）
